Below you will find information to help you use the Picasse Android App.

Before you start…

  • Make sure you are registered as a contact in Picasse with the correct mobile phone number
  • Make sure you are registered with Play Store and have your login details ready.
  • Make sure Wi-Fi is ON.
  • Make sure your Android version is up-to-date (latest updates have been done).

Install the Picasse app

1. Open the app on your phone

  • Go to the Play Store app on your phone.
  • Open the Play Store.

2. Search for the Picasse app

  • Tap the search field.
  • Enter Picasse receiver.

3. Download and open the Picasse app

  • Press Download.
  • Press open when the app is downloaded.

4. Enter your phone number

The app starts.

  • Enter your phone number and press verify.

Note: use +31 without 0

The international code does not contain a 0 between the country code and the phone number.

For example 0612345678 becomes (+31) 612345678.


5. Enter the code

Within seconds you will receive an SMS containing a 6 digit code.

  • Press enter the code from the SMS and press Verify.

6. Press activate location

The app displays information about Geo-fencing.

  • Press enable location.


7. Choose the right access setting

In order to work properly, the app needs access to your location facilities.

  • Choose the option while using the app.


8. Go to setting to set the correct location permissions

The app always needs access to the location services.
The app will show a message to set the correct location permissions.

  • Go to settings on your phone.

Note: If you have pressed cancel, go to settings.


9. Search for apps in the settings

  • Press apps.


10. Search for Picasse Receiver in apps

  • Press the Picasse receiver app.


11. Go to Permissions

  • Press permissions.


12. Go to the location permissions

  • Press location.


13. Give the app the correct permission

  • Press Allow all the time.

  • Press appear on top.

15. Give Picasse the permission

  • Press the slider at allow permission.

16. Give the app access to do not disturb notifications

The App wants to send you notifications that get through the do not disturb mode.

  • Press change setting and turn on do not disturb access for Picasse.
  • Press the back arrow to return to the app.

17. Give the app the correct battery settings

The app asks to remove Picasse from the “Optimized for battery saving” list.

  • Press “Exclude
  • Press “Allow”.

Note: The app is ready to use, but don't forget to enable automatic updating in Play Store (see instruction below).

After the app has been installed, we advise you to place it in the quick selection bar at the bottom.

Turn on automatic updating

To get the Picasse app working well, it is important that you set the update setting to automatically.

1. Check if the Play Store Picasse updates automatically

  • Open the Play Store app on your phone.

2. Go to Settings

  • Tap your profile at the top right and go to settings at the bottom.

3. Go to Network Preferences

  • Go to network preferences under settings.
  • Press app download preference.


4. Select over Wifi only

  • Press “Over Wi-Fi only” and then “Done”.

Solving problems

My presence is incorrect

It may be that you are still present at work, but that you are in reality already at home. We have a number of steps to solve this.
On some Android devices, there is a feature to automatically remove app permissions when the app is not in use. This can cause the attendance registration to stop working.

To get a correct attendance, follow the steps below:

1. Check if your presence is correct

  • Go to the Picasse app.
  • Press the 3 dots at the top right of the screen.


2. Go to settings

  • Tap settings at the top right.

3. Update the locations

  • Press Update Locations.

4. Turn off “remove permission if app is unused”

  • Press the slider button at remove permission if app is unused.


5. Check the battery settings

  • Go to setting.
  • Search for apps.


  • Search for “Picasse Receiver” in the search bar.

  • Press “Battery” at the bottom.

  • Then select “unrestricted”.

I don't hear any sound when a picasse calls come in

It is possible that you miss a call because you do not get any sound during the call.

To make sure you get sound for notifications again, follow the steps below:

1. Turn off the send suggestions in the app's settings

  • Go to the Picasse app and press the 3 dots at the top right of the screen, then press settings.

2. Go to the settings of the app

  • Press settings.


3. Disable the setting

Turn off the “stop sending suggestions for settings” setting.


4. Go to settings

The Picasse app requires an internet connection. If airplane mode is turned on, the Internet connection will be lost.

  • Go to settings.
  • Press connections.

5. Make sure airplane mode is off

  • Make sure airplane mode is off.
